Transdiagnostic Versus Construct-Specific Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Emotional Disorders in Patients with High Anxiety Sensitivity: A Double-Blind Randomised Clinical Trial

Abstract Anxiety sensitivity (AS) is a common vulnerability in emotional disorders. Due to the pathological role of AS, individuals with high AS are faced problems. Thus, cognitive behavioural interventions try reduce these problems by targeting AS. The present study aimed compare efficacy transdiagnostic therapy (T-CBT) and construct-specific CBT (CS-CBT) on anxiety, depression, positive negative affect patients. To this end, 40 patients were randomly assigned one three groups T-CBT, CS-CBT, wait list. Participants assessed using Related Disorders Interview Schedule for Diagnostic Statistical Manual Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition, Sensitivity Index-3, Beck Inventory, Depression Inventory-II, Positive Negative Affect at baseline, post-treatment, 3-month follow-up, 6-month follow-up. findings showed that T-CBT CS-CBT have significant effect affect; however, contrary not effective reducing depression affect. had more promising than all treatment outcomes. results show better stable among It essential consider as target intervention spectrum
